It's a pretty neat place. We really enjoyed ourselves.
It's a pretty cool venue, spacious with lots of open air, while still maintaining a pretty intimate feel. During this show, we opened a tab and this gave us access to the balconies - a seat almost right over the stage. The band we were there to see encouraged lots of craziness and crowd surfing in the pit. I'm not super into being in the middle of that, but I love watching it, so the seating arrangement was perfect for me. My boyfriend was down in the middle of it for the first half of the set, but was really glad he was able to come back up and relax with a beer and a quesadilla when he'd had enough of the pit.
Disliked: Not much of anything, really.

Liked: Great building.
Disliked: Bathroom accessibility while waiting to see the singers.
Went to see BLUE OCTOBER - it was great!
Liked: All smiles here.
Great atmosphere! Awesome space; balconies you can sit in and four bars so you never waited for a drink. Will definitely be going back. There is even a small restaurant inside if you get hungry!
Liked: Plenty of room; four bars; plenty of bathrooms.
We saw Lucero on November 15. First time at Mr. Smalls. What a great venue. Found a little niche to stand above audience level with no VIP upgrade. Sound was good, crowd was into it, and the band was amazing. We will definitely go back.
