Unique modern adaptive reuse could...

Liked: Our room was an accessible king, at the end of the hall -- very quiet, clean, comfortable, and spacious, nicely appointed. The window blind system was great, allowing for either translucent or opaque window coverings. We had a light evening meal on the rooftop. Our server was friendly and helpful. Our bed was comfy. The location was near lots of restaurants and shops. There was an in-room safe.
Disliked: The shower floor was extremely and dangerously slippery. Some type of non-slip strips would be essential for safety! The bathroom layout was odd, in terms of where to hang towels and washcloths. The bedroom a/c kept the room comfortably cool, but the cold air dropped heavily on the side of the bed nearest the window. The room did not come with a fridge or microwave. I saw one in the hallway and suggested my husband request one, and it arrived soon after. We had to go to the front desk for ice. At the rooftop dining, there was a sign to seat yourself, but no sign saying that you had to order at the bar. There was no welcome packet explaining the various hotel services and amenities. We traveled with my service dog, and the facility is pet friendly, but there were no poopie-bags nor outside trashcans where such bags could be deposited. On arrival and departure, the valet guys were not particularly helpful or attentive.
