Liked: It was so clean, modern and friendly.
Disliked: Needs more shopping.

I checked in only to find plenty of mold in shower! Asked the Desk to have someone take a look 2 pics). Came back in the afternoon and the MOLD was still there. Took 2 more pics! I left the hotel and came back later early that night only to still find MOLD in the shower! So, I asked for a room change. The front desk said yes of course. The next room had more mold in the shower! Another room change, and the AC wasn’t working properly so my friend and I reset the AC and that was that. Sad! Front desk people were willing to change my room and sympathetic to my situation but that never did solve the mold problem! Good luck! And safe travels.

Modern rooms downtown

Liked: This hotel is located on two floors of an old department store building. It has been totally rehabbed so that rooms are modern and spacious. The WiFi and TVs work well. Breakfast is ordered off a menu but you must pay $20-$30.
Disliked: The entrance is a bit sketchy with homeless and local weirdos often ganging about. I asked for a room near reception, but again they placed me at the farthest point down long hallways. The front desk staff varies from great to surly, apparently because some come from a staffing agency.

If I returned to Pittsburgh,...

Liked: Nice team, nice and comfortable rooms and beds, nice breakfast. I enjoy that the room is spacious enough to exercise in. Your team are very friendly and helpful.
Disliked: I had awful trouble connecting my iphone to your wifi. I had stayed at another IHG hotel earlier in the week and it was as if my iphone couldn't forget that connection.

I would recommend this hotel

Liked: Excellent location. I asked for a quiet room and I I'd say I got one (that means no view at the city but to a parking lot) sometimes that was annoying because you can't control the noisy car parked over there. I think we only heard a couple of them. Not extra noise from outside.From inside: it will depend on the rest of the hotel 's guests. We had a couple of quiet nights. However our last night there was some stupid people that felt like singing at 1 am. That's not hotel's fault or responsibility.
Disliked: There was a few times, that bathroom located in the public / open area were not clean enough. It's a good thing to have a bathroom close to bar and breakfast area, so you can wash your hands, but sometimes there was no soup and a had an odd smell.
