Omni William Penn Hotel

Beautiful hotel and interesting place to visit and see inside. It was minutes from the venue where we enjoyed a concert that night. There is a parking garage directly across the street where overnight parking was available for $13. Valet parking was $29 in comparison.

Liked: Roomy and clean room. Desk employees were friendly and informative.
Disliked: Room service prices were obnoxious as I should have expected, so there was no way I was going to order anything. You have to pay for WiFi too.

Liked: It was a beautiful building, and everyone I met was friendly. The room was comfortable and spacious with good AC, the bathroom was pleasant, and the bed was comfortable. There were power sockets in the desk, which was nice, but at this level of hotel I would expect USB charging sockets by the bed. It felt very safe. Location was excellent: handy for a baseball game, or for visiting the Heinz museum.I would stay here again.
Disliked: Parking was a little awkward, but it wasn’t very difficult or expensive to use the parking unaffiliated with the hotel, just across the street. Pay online or on the machines just before leaving.The steps to get from the street to reception are inconvenient with luggage or if you had mobility issues.Everything was very locked down with your keycard, which wasn’t explained when I checked in. I was confused for ages in the lift/elevator before another guest explained that I needed to use my key card before I could select my floor. I wouldn’t have checked out as early if I had realised that I would need my keycard to use the bathrooms near reception.

Disliked: One of the valets was very rude, unhelpful and never smiled or spoke. Don’t know why he would work in hospitality when it appeared as though he doesn’t like people. I initially thought it was personal to me until I noticed that he treated everyone that way and that his behavior and demeanor never changed. The rest of the valets were excellent. Our room, particularly the bathroom was tiny. I have never seen a bathroom that small. Being a select guest member and frequent omni guest I was shocked that we were given a room with a bathroom that was that small. Also the hotel wasn’t full so it wasn’t due to limited availability of rooms.

Liked: Lola at the front desk was exceptionally kind and accommodating. She made our stay even more special with a last minute upgrade to an even better room. Hotel was gorgeous and all of the staff went above and beyond.

Liked: This place is gorgeous, very art deco great gatsby feel. The beds were incredibly comfortable and everyone was super nice
Disliked: Parking was a bit difficult to find at night if you didn’t use a valet service but it was literally right across the street. Apparently we are blind

Disliked: A $100 ‘security’ deposit a day was taken and not refunded. However it could be spent the bars and restaurants.The rooms are beginning to look tired and dated
