Overall it's a wonderful venue with outstanding arts performances. Lesson learned - just go to the front entrance.
Liked: Beautiful; historic venue; excellent view from upper levels; fantastic acoustics.
Disliked: Waited in line with many ticketed individuals at rear (parkside) doors. Three minutes before show begins, someone from the theatre came out and in very cross voice shouted at us that "There is no line in the front and the show begins in 3 minutes with absolutely no late seating!" We all had to make a mad dash. It seems like someone could have monitored and managed the crowd much better, and encouraged people at the parkside entrance to move to the front entrance MUCH earlier. We were standing there for a long time and the line was moving very slowly. It's not like we arrived late to the performance hall. Also - it was very, very warm in the hall last night. We were all sweating in the Mezzanine level. I think turning air on, even though it's not officially sumnmer, when we have these sudden warm spells, would be optimal. It was uncomfortable.
Milton D, Oregon City
The Oregon Symphony is always great.
Liked: Great Music.
Linda, Deer Island
Liked: Lovely old building; ease of seating; show was good.
Disliked: No air conditioning - very warm inside.
