Liked: Crowd control; time waiting in line; able to stand in front.
Disliked: Poor air quality.

It was a great venue! I would go there again. Great environment; great staff; perfect size for a very special, intimate show.

Liked: The size of the venue creates a very intimate and special experience.
Disliked: Nothing was bad.

Me and my friends stay at this Oceana Inn Santa Cruz Its a good location very easy to find the only small complaint was the beds was really uncomfortable the rooms was way to coldand the staff was some what friendly and nice some had bad attitudes and only one was kindaof rude other then that everything was somewhat okay !!

Liked: the rooms was clean
Disliked: the beds was hard to sleep on

The Catalyst was a good all-ages venue and the bands, White Reaper and Twin Peaks, tore the roof off the joint! I'd definitely see them both again.

Liked: Three great bands!
Disliked: No, everything was great! And I didn't get a parking ticket, which I've never avoided before!

Disliked: No air circulation, very stuffy inside.

It was my first time there and I loved it. Stage was easy to view from anywhere in the building. Music sounds just right and there are always positive people around. The stage lights were awesome too. You can choose to stand or sit as well. They serve drinks and really good pizza. If you wanted to buy any merchandise of the band you see, they would have things to give out. I would recommend seeing concerts at the Catalyst. It's a good price and it's worth it.

Great venue - bar upstairs, and pizza out front. What's not to love about this place? We saw The Slackers - their sound was amazing. It got a little hot in there, nothing to get worked up over. It was awesome. I will definitely return for more shows!
