We were disappointed and won't...

Liked: was a large room
Disliked: it was a long walk to our room on the ground floor for my husband whom is disabled. I requested the bottom floor to make it easier for him but our room was in the very back of the hotel and it was a long way from the front desk.Also we had a room with a hide a bed that was so stained that we weren't able to use it and had to sleep on the couch instead. It was gross!

Great place to stay for...

Liked: Room was clean with newer finishes.The pool was nice and staff are friendly.
Disliked: The air-conditioner seemed like it need a filter change. The air was dry and all of us had sniffles when in the room, but not outside. Plus all four us woke up congested in the morning, but once we were out in the town we were fine.

Overall, the stay was good....

Liked: Location was good. The staff were friendly, especially the valet staff. The breakfast food quality was pretty good
Disliked: The shower temperature did not get hot. The tub drain drained slowly. Breakfast was crowded. They ran out of food choices and coffee quickly. They should double the portions offered for when the hotel is full

Liked: I visited this hotel several times over the years while my son attended UCSC. I was so grateful to have Hyatt Place as a lodging option. It’s a friendly, accessible option with large, attractive rooms & bathrooms. Breakfast is included which is always a cheerful way to start your day. There are a handful restaurants in walking distance. You can also take a longer stroll down to the boardwalk or over to the heart of Santa Cruz’s shopping//dining area.
Disliked: Like most hotels - the rates can vary dramatically based on supply & demand during peak times - so, sometimes it feels like you might be overpaying.

Disliked: My room check in should be ready at 3 pm but they made me wait because the room wasn’t ready , and they asked me to come later, they will give me a call when the room will be ready Come on guys I have a family
