Liked: Plenty of room; acoustics fine!
Disliked: Price of a can of lager - wtf - £4.80!

I thought the Academy was great for sight lines - you can get a good view anywhere, even from the back. The sound was pristine and it was a real pleasure to see such an amazing live band close up, enjoying themselves, having fun and playing such brilliant music. Getting a drink is always a bit tricky but if you wandered around a bit you could clock which bar it was easier to get served at. The bonus treat was after the show had finished - people had been filing out for about 10 minutes - out of the blue and to the delight of everyone who had been patient, the Eels came out again to do a couple of numbers as they had had such fun. A brilliant night. I have already recommended the Academy Bournemouth to mates as it is a cracking venue to see a band.
Liked: I would say it was a real mix of excitement and wonder at the splendour of the place. I had seen Eels before but this was probably the most intimate venue they had appeared at. I thought the staff were very good and added to the general relaxed atmosphere, unlike say the Brixton Academy which is just appalling.
Disliked: None at all.

Door staff were friendly, venue was epic, music was insane. Best night ever. Getting water took too long, and bar staff were not friendly at all. Removing water bottle tops is unsafe and needs to be addressed.
Liked: Epic, wonderful, brilliant night.
Disliked: Drinks service; taking water tops = not safe.
