The people manning the phones where people call in to reserve tickets need a checklist or protocol to follow. When people have to cancel and reschedule they need to know that they only have one year to get the tickets activated and if they have to downgrade there is no refund and if they find out about an option after the tickets are purchased, it doesn't matter that you lost the original cost in a downgrade - you MUST pay the increased amount.

Liked: I got the experience so if in the area again I could make wiser choices. I would strongly suggest that people ride to Peninsula and get off the train, eat and browse then reboard. It seemed the return trip was faster, which was even better.
Disliked: The train ride was less than authentic as we were moving backwards for 1/2 of the trip. The section of the trip from Peninsula to Akron was less than interesting and the views were bland. The cost for me was ridiculous. I had made a reservation for a steam train ride one year ago and had to reschedule it for this year. When I called to reschedule I was not able to make an equal exchange. I had to ride the regular train rather than the steam train. No one told me that there would not be a refund of the original full purchase price for two until I asked about the refund after the tickets had been purchased. Then I found out that there was a dome area where you could sit. Being a photographer I asked to change the two tickets I had just purchased. I then had to pay an extra $24 dollars. I wasn't a happy camper before I arrived!
