My fiancee and I went to Amos Southend to see George Clinton and Parliament Funkadelic and it was a great first experience for me and my fiancee's second time seeing George. We loved Amos' Southend - great place, great people, great vibe!

Took my teenagers to see Hinder, Beyond The Fade, and Isabelle's Gift. We had an awesome time. Everyone was polite; sound was good; tickets were reasonably priced. Small atmosphere, so no worries of losing my kids in a large crowd. No inside smoking so that's a plus for the kids also. Great place for a night out with the family - will definitely be going back. =)

Pros: Tickets were reasonably priced; great sound; great bands; small environment. No inside smoking - AWESOME place overall!
Cons: Can't think of anything!

My 13-year old daughter and two friends attended the Family Force Five christian concert here last Friday night. I am a very conservative parent and had asked several opinions of friends who had been to this club prior to allowing daughter to attend unsupervised. Daughter texted me throughout the concert that she was fine and felt safe and loved the small venue. The guys in the band were friendly, goofy, and every 13-year old girl's dream of a band. LOL! (They signed autographs and took pix with the girls, etc.) Since I only dropped off and picked up and did not go in, I have no review of the actual place. However, it was great to know the girls were safe there and I was confident they wouldn't get into trouble. They said beer was sold but they did not see anyone partaking.

Pros: Safe for teenage girls' first concert
Cons: None that I know

Amos' was holding a fundraiser to raise awareness of domestic violence with The Bearded Ladies performing a fashion show with local boutiques latest fashions...It was well put together with accompanying acts of body balancing and contortionists...old carnival theme.

I've stood everywhere there is to stand in this venue from front row to the balcony, and I never felt like I could see. The sound quality is the worst I've ever heard, and staff has only ever been rude in my experience. Skip it if you can.

Pros: Within walking distance of shops and restaurants
Cons: Bad lighting, sound, & view
