The Dunhill Hotel

Our stay at the Dunhill was good. The room was very clean; the bathroom was spacious; the staff was very friendly and professional. We will consider staying at the Dunhill again and recommend it to other friends and family.

Beautiful destination, horrible service

Liked: The hotel is beautiful. It's iconic. Location is perfect!
Disliked: The staff. Rude, unprofessional, and failed to hold themselves accountable for a mistake they made. My room was canceled after the hotel over sold the rooms. I didn't receive a cancelation email, I received a confirmation email. With a confirmation, I should have had a room. I went to check in; there was no room. The staff member had a "too bad" attitude. He refused to get the manager and offered no assistance in helping to find another room or place to stay. I asked the staff member if I have a confirmation why was he not doing his best to ensure I had a room. The staff member looked me up and down and down his nose and said, "I don't have any rooms for you." I had just driven several hours to get to Charlotte, and I was exhausted, only to have to leave and hope I find another hotel. I did, and I told them what had happened. They were not surprised. Apparently, this individual staff member at The Dunhill doesn't like white females. That's just awful.Horrible service!

Terrible experience due to hearing...

Liked: This was our second time at The Dunhill and a way different experience than our first visit. Our room was facing the Carolina theater and the noise at 3am was insane outside. We could hear everything and got woken up multiple times throughout the night. If you stay here make sure you get a room away from the main street up front. This trip was our first night away from our 8 month old, and was disappointed with the amount of sleep we got. We thought about calling down and requesting a room change but didn’t want to move all our stuff at 3am.
