Liked: Sound and staff.
Disliked: Nothing.
Christina, San Marcos Mon, 11 February 2019
It was awesome - great sound!
Liked: Everything.
Disliked: Had multiple people sit in my seat throughout the night.
Bryan, Fresno Sat, 17 February 2018
Venue is pretty old, but awesome. Walking distance to our hotel across the street. No need to drive.
Sandra, Huntington Beach
The Neil Diamond concert was fantastic and the people working at the center are probably the nicest and most helpful people I have ever met.
Liked: The acoustics were great and loved the big screens.
Disliked: No railings on the stairs to get inside and also to get to your seats. Very hard on older people. I wish they would use a jammer for cell phones and ban the led light rings totally. Very distracting to the concert. The people in front of us videoed almost the whole show.
Darlene H, Grand Terrace
The concert was excellent and the seats that we had were fair. But no regrets because of the whole concert!
Liked: We saw and heard James Taylor.
Disliked: What can be bad about James Taylor!? But the seats were really small and a tight fit. There was a gentleman in front of me that was 6'7" and he had to squeeze into the seat, and I had to crane my head to see the stage.
Noelia A, San Diego
Disliked: Why do they call it Valley View Casino when it isn't.
Briana, Murrieta, CA
We loved seeing Imagine Dragons - it was a great concert!
Liked: The security was very friendly/helpful; we enjoyed our concert very much.
Disliked: Expensive drinks, but that is to be expected.
Tina, Pismo Beach
Easy drop off. Lots of crowd control. The girl's got right in and didn't have to stand outside for hours! Show actually started early, and sounds like it ran smoothly, one group after another.
Disliked: None.
Joe, Coachella
Had a great time - will go back.
Naomi, Orange County
Within walking distance of a lot of good restaurants. The staff was pleasant and helpful. We had a great time!
Liked: Overall the venue wasn't too large, so any seat is a good one.
Disliked: Parking is way to high at $20 a pop.

The Valley View Casino Center is situated in the Midway neighborhood of San Diego. It is perfectly located for people coming in by road, trolley and air since the airport is just 15 minutes away. There are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby for you to enjoy before or after your event.
There is a lot to see and do in San Diego. Here are just a few recommendations of what the city has to offer:
San Diego Zoo Safari Park
San Diego doesn't just have a zoo, it has a safari park too, where you can take part in some truly awesome safari experiences. Here, it's not just a case of driving through looking at the animals in your car, there are numerous different safari experiences like the flightline safari, which gives you an incredible aerial view of the animals as you whizz past them. You can also cycle round on a trike? but don't worry, there won't be any lions chasing you down. Admission costs around $50 and the special safaris are extra - the flightline safari costs $75.
Belmont Park
Belmont Park is San Diego's historic beachfront amusement park where you can enjoy rides, Lazerblast and the arcade. Ride the historic Giant Dipper, which has been there since 1925 but still draws in the crowds. You can grab a bite to eat or even do some shopping while you're there. An all-day ride wristband costs around $50, and is slightly cheaper if you buy it online.
San Diego Padres
The Padres play at Petco Park in downtown San Diego. It is an awesome stadium to catch a ball game and the surrounding area is full of bars and restaurants. The stadium has a capacity of over 42,000 and the Padres have recently had the cheapest average ticket price of all MLB franchises at just over $16.
Phil's BBQ
Phil's BBQ is just around the corner from the Valley View Casino Center and serves up some of the best baby back ribs that you'll find in the whole city. If ribs aren't your thing, try the mesquite grilled chicken, or the sides including fresh coleslaw, macaroni salad and sweet baked beans.
Las Cuatro Milpas
Although this place is in Barrio Logan and as such not particularly close to the Valley View Casino Center (15 minutes driving, 50 minutes public transportation), it is a must if you want authentic Mexican food and can't make it over the border into Mexico. Here, you'll find authentic home-cooked Mexican food and people come for miles to get it. There is always a line when you get there but it is worth the wait. The menu is small but what else do you need besides tamales, burritos and tacos served with pork, chicken or chorizo sausage?
Devine Pastabilities - Torpasta
If you want a sandwich, try out Devine Pastabilities which is just one block south of the Valley View Casino Center. They do some of the most interesting sandwiches you're likely to see. Why? Well, they put pasta dishes in bread instead of in bowls? genius! Prices are around $7 for small and $12 for a large sandwich.
As you may already know, San Diego is a border city with Mexico and the city of Tijuana is just 17 miles south of downtown. If you do want to pay a quick visit across the border, don't forget to bring your passport with you!
Valley View Casino Center encourages people to travel by public transportation in order to cut down on congestion.
The venue is served by the MTS bus numbers 8 & 9. If you're traveling from downtown San Diego, take the green line trolley towards Santee and transfer to one of the buses at the Old Town Transit Center station. You can also walk from the station which would take you about 20 minutes. If you're staying at one of the hotels near Valley View Casino Center, walking is probably your best bet.
If you do choose to drive, the Casino Center is located just off both Interstates I-5 and I-8. From both roads, you should exit onto Rosecrans Street and the Center is about half a mile further.
San Diego International Airport is around 3 miles away, making it easily accessible in 15 minutes by car or taxi. Public transportation involves several transfers and it will take you around an hour, so a cab's probably the best way to go.
Food and drink at the concessions inside the venue are, as you'd expect, on the expensive side. A small soda comes in at around $4, bottled water $5 and beers from around $10. A hot dog will usually set you back around $5, pizza $6 and a bucket of popcorn $10.
There is parking at the Casino Center for all events.
Parking at the Valley View Casino Center costs $20 for most events, but this is reduced to $15 for family events (such as Disney on Ice).
Doors almost always open 60 minutes before an event. On occasion this may be extended to 90 minutes, but unless it's specifically stated somewhere, expect the doors to open an hour before.
If you intend on driving to your event, do not try to park at any of the businesses that are across the road from the venue - if you do, your car will almost certainly be towed away.
