Will not choose again
Liked: Good sized room. Decent breakfast
Disliked: For your room to be cleaned you have to ask. The staff were not friendly. Our room key did not work on the first day. It took 40 minutes for them to fix it. Parking is expensive

Perfect Location, Staff and Large,...
Liked: Simply the best place I've ever stayed in California, hands down.Friendly, helpful and professional staff. Took care of everything we needed quickly and efficiently with a smile.Room was exquisitely clean and well provisioned with a full kitchen, separate bedroom, and great air conditioning and heating. Blankets were warm and comfortable, bed was great quality, even the couch bed was comfortable. Bathroom was updated, functional and clean.Facilities at the hotel were terrific. Heated pool, with two barbecues available and plenty of seating. Comfortable, homey breakfast area. Gym, business facilities, etc. Easy parking (for a fee which is normal in San Diego), and easy pickup area for Uber, Lyft etc.Great location walking distance to the harbor, Little Italy, and everything you need. Train/tram stations nearby as well.We really just can't say how happy we are with our stay.
Disliked: Everything was perfect.

A Bit Disappointed
Liked: On the bright side, the facilities were nice and the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was decent—nothing fancy, but enough to start the day. The location was convenient too, just a few minutes from the airport and walking distance to the bay. Also, the morning and afternoon staff were genuinely friendly and accommodating, which I really appreciated.
Disliked: Now for the not-so-great part. Around 9:30PM on our first night, my husband was about to head to the lobby when someone from maintenance showed up at our door saying he needed to check for a possible leak coming from our tub or shower, since the room below had complained. We hadn’t been told anything by the front desk, and it was pretty unsettling to have someone show up unannounced that late. Even the staff at the lobby seemed unaware of it when my husband asked, and we had to wait around for a confirmation call.I’m the kind of person who always puts a "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door—I don’t like anyone entering the room. We explained that, but the staff still insisted on scheduling a time to enter, or asked if we could stay in to let them in, which was frustrating since we were there to relax. We also had our personal items and gadgets lying around. We asked to be moved to a different room instead, but at first, she said nothing was available or that we had to wait until the next day. After some back and forth, she eventually said we could move and to come pick up the key at the lobby. When we did, she wasn’t apologetic at all—she seemed indifferent and had a bit of an attitude, which really left a bad impression. Then on our last day, we checked out early in the morning and found the lobby completely empty. We had to call out a few times before someone came out from the back, clearly annoyed and half-asleep. Not as bad as the first night, but still not a great note to end on.

Pleasant
Liked: The hotel was well-located, offered a great breakfast, and the staff were very friendly. I loved that it had a fully equipped kitchen, which helped save money.
Disliked: The rooms need remodeling. The valet parking was $65 per day, which is excessive. The staff was friendly but lacked knowledge about tourist attractions.
