Really low cost Mexican food is the order of the day here. You'll often find the place full of locals taking advantage of great prices and really tasty food. This is a quick, convenient, place to eat a stone's throw from LA Live.

What's the best way to get to LA Live?

LA Live is situated in downtown LA and can be easily accessed using public transportation. You can take the Metro Rail blue line or expo line to Pico station - LA Live is a 2 minute walk from there. Otherwise you can ride the purple or red lines to 7th Street/Metro Center Station from where the venue is a 7-minute walk. The LA Metro Bus also stops near LA Live. You should ride either number 30, 81, 442, 460 or the silver line. Metrolink trains operate from other areas within Southern California. Look out for the weekend passes, which are available for $10 and include a transfer to the metro bus or metro rail.

If you prefer, you can of course drive to LA Live. It is located just off interstates I-10 and I-110. On event days you can expect the roads to be busy and you might spend more time sitting in traffic than actually moving!

How much are drinks/food in LA Live?

LA Live houses Staples Center and Microsoft Theater, the former of which stages mainly sporting events and the latter mainly special events such as concerts.

There is a vast choice of food and drink to eat within LA Live, as you would expect from one of America's most diverse cities. Options include Camacha's Cantina, which offers Mexican dishes such as burritos from $9.50, nachos $8.50 and tamales from $13.75. You can get hot dogs too, ranging in price from $5 to $8.

Sodas range from $5 to $6.75. Beers are available from $8.25 to $12. Wine and cocktails are on offer here too.

Does the venue have WiFi?

Fear not social media addicts, there is free WiFi available throughout LA Live.

Is there any parking?

Event parking is available in Lot W, Gate B for those attending events lasting longer than 3.5 hours.

How much does parking cost?

There is a flat rate of between $10 and $30 depending on the event.

This varies depending on the event:

· Lakers games - 1 hour 30 minutes prior to tip-off

· Clippers games - 1 hour 15 minutes prior to tip-off

· Kings games - 1 hour 30 minutes prior to face-off

Events at Microsoft Theater have differing door opening times.

l My husband is here on business and we tagged along. Really not much in and around unless you are coming in for an event, lots of decent varied places to eat though. We are enjoying day trips however...
