Will definitely stay here again now that I know what to expect. Rooms are for sleeping only.

Liked: I love the communal vibe.
Disliked: Teeny, tiny room.

Convenient Downtown Stay

Liked: The location was walking distance to bus stops and metro plus a shopping mall and other stores. The four-bedroom beds have individual lights, locker in the room and was clean. 24h front desk and nice workers.
Disliked: There's less interaction with other people staying because each room is separate and the shared lounge in the basement is like an employee break room and with 4 tables. Not the typical hostel I know and more of a hotel but still was a good choice for an affofable few nights.

Disliked: Some people are just loud and obnoxious when trying to sleep in the Hostel rooms.

Disliked: Both bars were closed on our first night due to the rain and a private function

Liked: Comfortable designer dormitory with like-minded international travellers. Easy transport to all of LA and near to art, fashion district, cafe, restaurants, supermarket and shopping malls. 30 mins Uber to the Hollywood sign around $28. I would stay again and great service!
Disliked: The area could be sketchy at night. If you are not used to seeing the homeless and the smell of weed.
