Kenichi Dallas
Fresh wasabi might make your eyes stream, but this is totally worth it for the Asian-fusion tastes of this Victoria Park eatery. Diners sip on sake while choosing from innovative rolls including eel with strawberry and teriyaki sauce; and the snow crab with cucumber and avocado, topped with yellowtail, sriracha, serrano thai basil vinaigrette.
Sonny Bryan's Smokehouse
Get in the Texan spirit with a trip to this well-known barbecue joint. It's been cooking up juicy meats like brisket, ribs and pulled pork since stoking its first fire in 1958, and these days is a family-run chain.
If visiting in the fall, consider a trip to the State Fair of Texas. Even if the lineup of bands and singers - plus local foods - don't do it for you, there's always the 277-acre historic park to explore.

The Music Hall serves up the usual fast food glistening with oil - nothing too gourmet but enough to keep you fuelled for the evening. Alternatively, guests can arrive early for a pre-concert meal at the in-house Crossroads restaurant which honors American classics and Southern-style cooking like shrimp and grits, meatloaf, quesadillas and voodoo shrimp.
Yes, and it's free of charge.
While there's no official House of Blues parking, you'll find plenty of spaces close by. Expect to pay around $15 for valet or $5 for your standard street parking.

Our overall experience was great and I would recommend it as one of the top venues in Dallas.
Liked: Not a bad seat in the house and bars were in walking distance and restaurant was great - could walk right into the venue after dinner.
Disliked: The hand rail was distracting. Perhaps remove and put see through glass.

It was AWESOME.
Liked: The atmosphere,
Disliked: There were no options for being handicap - I could only lean against the wall, but wanted to be on the floor with my daughter not in the balcony.

Could have been better.
Liked: Our seats.
Disliked: The staff at the upstairs bar did not know what was going on. Could not get champagne on New Year's Eve. Had to go to downstairs bar to finally get some.
