Zero Gravity Amusement Park

Not for the faint hearted, Zero Gravity amusement park will get even the most hardened adrenaline junkie's heart pumping. Unlike other theme parks, this isn't about roller coasters. It's about bungee jumping, bungee cages and other attractions like this. Prices vary depending how many of the 5 attractions you go on.

Dallas World Aquarium

There are hundreds of species of underwater wildlife here, and one of the big attractions is the Aquarium's impressive shark tunnel. Feedings and talks take place daily, and there are a variety of temporary exhibitions covering other wildlife, from jaguars to birds of prey.

Twisted Root Burger Co

Award winning burgers - what's not to like? This is a burger joint just over 2 miles from the Gexa Energy Pavilion. It has an industrial look inside and a really laid back vibe. Burgers start at $8 and there are some deliciously boozy adult shakes from around $7. Enjoy.

Off the Bone Barbeque

A laidback eatery offering Texan barbeque style food, just 3 miles from the venue. Not one for the vegetarians but the carnivores will love it. With ribs from $7.99, sandwiches from $8 and a whole smoked chicken for $12.99, the prices here are reasonable too.

Craft and Growler

About a mile from Gexa Energy Pavilion, Craft and Growler touts itself as a "beer filling station." There are over 40 beers on offer here. They don't serve food, so you might want to stop somewhere on the way to line your stomach.

Pros: Great sound!
Cons: Needs more restrooms! We were also directed to the wrong section by venue workers. We spent half of the concert in the wrong section before the actual seat owners showed up and told us we were in the middle …which was a MUCH better section.

Pros: Good acoustics, great lighting and filming. Biggest surprise was the super convenient and FREE parking.
Cons: Need more bathrooms. Although the line moved incredibly quickly, it is intimidating to wait in SUCH a massively long line.

Way too hot; people were trading seats, smoking, underage drinking. If it wasn't for who I came to see I won't go again.

Pros: Tim McGraw was outstanding.
Cons: Way too hot - heat stroke; overpriced drinks.
