Awesome show; great experience.

Roxanne, Torrance

Friday's was my 160th concert, and amazingly, the first one at The Palladium. Wish someone would buy in and overhaul it to it's glory - would be such a destination. Hope to be back at some point.

Liked: Gorgeous venue - with an overhaul it would be AMAZING.
Disliked: Entry at west side of building - confusing. VERY expensive drinks. Blasť bartenders (maybe it's cause I don't emit the H-Wood vibe?).

Very Good - 4 out of 5

Brian P, Fountain Valley CA

Although it looked quite small from outside, once we got inside the Hollywood Palladium it was big and spacious. The sound system is great, and drinks are typically expensive.

Liked: Great sound, great size
Disliked: Will call - very slow

How can I spend the day in Hollywood before heading to a concert?

Universal Studios Hollywood

You'll see Hollywood glamour - and gore - up close when you head to Universal Studios Hollywood for a day of nostalgia and adventure. Whether it's Michael Bay-style robotic destruction or Jurassic Park dino-mania, you'll find plenty to satisfy all parties. Enjoy a 3D movie or a stage show, or take a behind the scenes studio tour before heading to your concert at the Hollywood Palladium. Universal Studios is 10 minutes from the venue by car, or 20-30 by public transportation.

Hollywood Walk of Fame

When you've got stars in your eyes, the Hollywood Walk of Fame is a must. Walk the walk as you spot the names of your favourite movie stars, both classic and current, stopping for a photo that makes you look like a celeb yourself. You could even step into one of many tattoo parlours to immortalize the memory forever, or just shop for souvenirs in one of the many gift shops that line the street. The Walk of Fame is less than 10 minutes from the venue on foot.

Runyon Canyon

Break a sweat at Runyon Canyon, a 160-acre park that features a main trail and many different dirt bike and hiking trails. The canyon is actually a part of the Santa Monica Mountains, a fact of which you'll be well aware as you huff and puff up these steep inclines. Your reward: breathtaking views of the Los Angeles skyline, smog-permitting. The park is 15 minutes from the venue by car, 25 by public transportation or 35 on foot.

Griffith Observatory

Easily one of the most iconic attractions in all of Los Angeles, the renovated Griffith Observatory is a can't-miss for all visitors to the area. The building itself is well worth admiration, as you're sure to recognize it from numerous Hollywood movies. You can also peer through a 12-inch refracting telescope, and taking in exhibits and shows about space at the planetarium and at the Leonard Nimoy Event Horizon Theater. 15 minutes from the venue by car.

Where are the best places to eat and drink near Hollywood Palladium?

Village Pizzeria

Just a 10-minute drive from the Hollywood Palladium, Village Pizzeria will fill you up before you head out to the show. There are of course a diversity of pizza types on offer, as well as pasta and salads.

Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles

Dancing up a storm can kick up quite an appetite. Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles' Hollywood branch will be there waiting for you, just round the corner from the venue, until 4am on Friday and Saturday nights or midnight on "school nights". You'll find all kinds of chicken plates on offer and potatoes and gravy to warm your bones.

Frolic Room

For a quick drink, you'll want to stop by the bar that's been dubbed the "last dive bar in Hollywood." You'll find a full bar, along with a jukebox and a cast of characters you won't soon forget. A 5-10 minute walk from the venue.

Any other important information I should know?

If you plan on doing a lot of driving, make sure to leave plenty of time to get where you're going, as Hollywood and Los Angeles traffic in general is legendary. That said, if you plan on sticking within certain regions like Hollywood or downtown LA for a day, public transport and walking will get you where you need to go within the area. Just don't let the natives know you've left the car; they'll be horrified.

Door time varies by event, but it's generally safe to assume they'll be open 1 to 2 hours before the show start time, best to check before heading to the venue though.

Any other important information visitors should know?
