Banana Bungalow's location is fantastic! Right in the heart of Hollywood and steps away from all the hotspots. You can see the HOLLYWOOD sign right from the courtyard. We have loads of freebies including breakfast Wi-Fi and social activities. Our staff is super friendly and helpful ready to make your Los Angeles stay the best ever! The courtyard has amenities including a large screen TV awesome lounge furniture with umbrellas free coffee and tea basketball foosball table tennis large flame heaters palm trees music and more. Guests can also relax in the movie lounge or billiards room with free common computers or enjoy the karaoke stage on-site with occasional live musical performances. Out back is the Tiki Garden which will transport you to a tropical island with Southern California sunbathing and an outdoor shower to cool off in. There is free fast reliable Wi-Fi throughout the property and secure affordable parking. Private rooms have a Queen bed plus one or two twin beds a full bathroom a full kitchen TV with satellite channels heating and air conditioning a safe a closet a wall fan and a USB charging station for your phone. Good value for money

Liked: Close to walk of fame,Hollywood sign,Griffith observatory,decent breakfast
Disliked: Lots of homeless people outside the property

I stayed again and definitely...

Liked: The location is great, price is fair, rooms are very good. The little kitchen in the room was really helpful, they receive packages and do not charge for it and breakfast was good
Disliked: A lot of homeless living nearby, although I walked through their tends at night and had no problem. Staff was not so friendly/welcoming this time

Never ever!

Liked: Personal is good
Disliked: We were traveling around California and this was the worst and most expensive hotel we stayed in. This is a 0 star motel! small and cheap room, very uncomfortable bed, mattress as if stuffed with hay, cheap bed linen. During the three nights we stayed, the room was not cleaned. There are many homeless people living on the street right next to the hotel, there is an unpleasant smell, and it is dangerous in the evening and at night.

Overall wonderful. Great and friendly...

Liked: I like that it was gated. It was safe and they had an option to reserve a parking space for an extra set amount. We paid and utilized that so we can come and go from the hotel and not worry about parking. Alex was at the front desk and she was super friendly and helpful! I appreciate the staff who worked hard to make sure the place was welcoming. They even had a barbecue outside for $12 along with free drinks. They always have some events going on it seems which is nice.
Disliked: Your experience will vary depending on the other residents that stay during your time here. The first night it was a bit rowdy but the second night was pretty peaceful. Either way I have no complaints just a good thing to note if you are sensitive to noises. There are homeless camps outside but it’s not directly in front of the hotel so there was no problem going in. Something to keep in mind if you want to walk to Funko Hollywood or in that general direction.
