Ali, Vancouver, visiting Hollywood Bowl
The hotel is great fun, but the room itself sucked. Try to request a newly renovated room upon booking.
Liked: Great staff (shout out to Antoine at Public Bar); good music at pool; nice lobby; late checkout 12:30.
Disliked: Room lighting is terrible; room had a weird smell; awful picture above bed of a junked out rocker type; very expensive room service; thin walls.

Superb
Liked: Room and hotel lived up to expectation. Great view looking over Mann's Chinese Theatre and the Hollywood Walk of Fame especially at night.Good facilities such as the bar and lounge area which is a lovely place to relax after a busy day sightseeing.
Disliked: Was a little noisy because of the room location looking over the busy road but was worth it for the view.Old historic hotel with only 1 elevator working but it didn't delay us much.

Timeless Luxury, Incredible Staff –...
Liked: I absolutely love the Hollywood Roosevelt – it’s truly my home away from home whenever I’m in Los Angeles. The staff go above and beyond every time; they’re warm, professional, and genuinely make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The ambience is second to none – a perfect blend of old Hollywood glamour and modern comfort. The rich history of the hotel adds so much character, and you can feel it in every corner – from the elegant lobby to the beautifully restored architecture. I always recommend it to my friends and colleagues because I honestly wouldn’t stay anywhere else in LA. A special shoutout to Nico at Concierge – truly the best in the world. His attention to detail, genuine warmth, and ability to make anything happen is unmatched. Whether it’s securing impossible reservations, planning the perfect outing, or simply greeting you with a smile that brightens your day, Nico elevates every stay at the Hollywood Roosevelt. He’s a big part of why I keep coming back – a true gem in the world of hospitality! The pool complex is iconic and the perfect place to unwind, the gym is well-equipped, and the events hosted here are always lively and memorable. Whether it’s for business or pleasure, the Hollywood Roosevelt delivers every time. Can’t wait to return!

Very good
Liked: Pool area had great vibe. Front desk staff were awesome! Hotel room bathroom
Disliked: Room was a little tired - missing artwork from wall, broken plug. Small things that easy to fix but make a difference (room 402). Staff a pool restaurant- could be more attentive ans less time hanging out chatting together

Beautiful property with a lot...
Liked: The history, architecture, cabana, balcony, proximity to the event we were travelling to.
Disliked: The noise! The air conditioning was down while we were there and we had to keep the door to the balcony open to keep cool at night. At 04:00 AM, they were pressure washing the pool deck outside our window, waking me up when I had an important event to attend in the morning. The hotel warned us about the air conditioning being off, but failed to mention the very loud events that were scheduled just outside of our window On returning to our room and trying to make up for the sleep we lost due to the pressure washing, there was a private event at the pool with LOUD music the entire day. The next day, we were unable to go to the historic lobby and bar because they were closed for private functions. It seems that the hotel is focussed on hosting events to the detriment of paying guests. On our last morning there, I was relaxing on the balcony having my morning tea, where someone started setting up a yoga class just next o us. It was terribly loud, and I had to go back into the room because the class participants were staring into our balcony. It is a beautiful property with outstanding staff, but management needs to balance paid events against the comfort of their guests and respect the fact that we may want a bit of peace and privacy. If they wish to host events like this in the future, hotel management should inform their guests before hand and provide the option to move to an unaffected part of the hotel, or let us choose a different hotel altogether.

Liked: The location
Disliked: It was terribly hot in the room. The central air conditioning was set at 27 degrees Celsius. It was hard to stay inside. We were not able to lower the temperature down.
