The Godfrey Hotel Hollywood, Los Angeles

Super fun and lve recommended...

Liked: The pool was amazing. The staff, especially the valet guys are wonderful with the exception of the girl who initially checked us in.
Disliked: The girl who checked us in told me our room wasn’t ready yet, and I said that was fine I knew we were early since we hit no traffic driving up from San Diego. I told her we were just going to put on our suits and head to the pool. We go, get our suits on, give all our stuff to the bell staff and when I went to get a wrist bad she says “oh the pool isn’t open right now and won’t be for another 2 hours”. Umm why did you just let me change into a suit??

Convenient, staylish, comfortable and clean

Disliked: A bit loud rooftop

Good stay and friendly staff.

Liked: Location is good, facilities are decent and staff were great. Had breakfast twice in the downstairs restaurant and it was very good.
Disliked: Rooms are on the small side. Cleaners were very random with their times. Some mornings they were knocking the door at 9am and other days it was 4pm. They did a good job, just would of been better if they understood English so I could tell them to come back later instead of yes or no for the clean.

Perfect location, gorgeous rooftop pool...

Liked: Perfect location. Lovely pool and bar that looks over the Hollywood sign. Valet parking for your car, really modern lovely hotel. Great location in walking distance of many restaurants and cafes

Liked: Loved the hotel, the gym was amazing.
Disliked: The guy working at the front desk with the curly black hair was really rude and the only staff member that could not great or talk to us properly

Disliked: The problem is that I am still waiting them to reimburse the $150.00 deposit they charged to my card at check in time. It’s been more than a month and I’m still waiting. I need my money back please

Liked: Great location and roof toppool. But staff in reception was so nonchalant, not at all that nice american courtesy you so often meet… unfortunately! Maybe too cool for school?!

Management seemingly unaware of how...

Liked: Nice looking hotel - decor is good looking and good to see actual beatiful art around the premises, but
Disliked: but management should start scratching the surface - let alone their own feeble attempts to make money on short-term gains (pool-and roodtop parties - often private parties until midnight) against long-term investments (returning guests).The ignorance of guests feels blatant and indifferent. Unless you are there to party all week, don't go! The styling also seem to come before comfort. We've NEVER been in a smaller room for 2 queen-size beds - not even motels are this small. And "funnily" enough - you get 4 towels and there's only 1 (one) designer-hook in the small bathroom, leaving a mess after 4 people have showered, and no hooks/racks for ordinary hand-towels either.Don't go if you're a family of more than two!
