A pleasant stay!

Liked: We stayed at the Godfrey for 4 nights (Tuesday-Friday)in May 2025. We were really anxious about staying here given all of the recent bad reviews but our stay was great! The room was tidy/clean and cleaned everyday, it was on the smaller side but could fit 2 suitcases opened up, only downside was no wardrobe and only one small open hanging rail. The staff at reception were friendly when we checked in and the valet were good too, although valet was expensive at €66 per day, there were no overnight car parks nearby so this was the only safe option. Location of this hotel was good with tourist attractions nearby, it also felt safe. The rooftop had good views of the Hollywood sign and was relaxing sitting near the pool. This hotel was a noisy from traffic outside and the walls were quite thin. We stayed on the 3rd floor and the hotel did host a private event/party on the rooftop 8pm-2am on the Friday night, we could hear some music but it was not loud enough to keep us awake - but I can imagine being on a higher floor this could’ve been worse. Overall, a really pleasant stay and don’t let the bad reviews put you off like it nearly did us!

Liked: I had a room by the courtyard and people stayed out all night every evening playing loud music until 4am and just chatting amongst themselves. You can hear everything and I was shocked that it was allowed so late. Also, the room had a bad mildew/mold smell which made it difficult for me to sleep. Otherwise, everything else was fine… I could have even put up with the noise but the mildew/mold smell is bad!

Disliked: It was extremely expensive and I feel like I got charged more than I should have. Was too hungover the following day to call and ask about why when I booked it was cheaper then when they charged me at checkout…
