Marion, Port Dover
I thoroughly enjoyed this show and the time flew by! The music and dance elements were excellent, and the strong storyline held the attention of everyone in the audience.
Liked: Come From Away. Opening and closing numbers. I loved the scenes where the Polish Jew whose parents had told him never to tell anyone about his heritage spoke with the rabbi stranded in Gander, as well as the Muslim master chef helping out and then asking for the fish and cheese recipe. The cardiologists were hilarious!
Liked: The renovations of removing seats and giving more leg room is great - finally! It's a great theatre to see a show now.
I have not been to the Royal Alex for years as it is a theatre I hated going to, as I found the seating appalling. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the refurbishing of the seats - leg room was much better than the last time I was there. The show was excellent.....
Liked: "Come from Away" was excellent, funny, sad, poignant......
Disliked: Slow to get into the theatre. i.e. line up outside.
Stayed right to the end.
Liked: Creative redo of a great Hitchcock movie.
Disliked: Some of the acting was a little cardboard, but may have been due of the re-enactment.
