Pros: Everything.

Cons: Nothing.

Was a great experience. Very clean hotel. The staff were very nice, the little we did interact with them. Parking was ony $6.00. The Firelake resturant was superb and this was a very good location to stay in downtown. Will definitely be here again!

Venue Information

What's the best way to get to Target Center?

Take the Bus Line or else go by train to the Warehouse District Light Rail Station and walk one block.

What's the food and drink like in Target Center?

Pretty good. Options include beef brisket, pulled pork sandwiches, popcorn and pizza. There's also a walk-in bar for a more laidback drink based on the Upper Concourse, Bar at 217.

Does the venue have WiFi?

No, sadly, you'll have to get your online fix beforehand.

Is there any parking?

Over 12,000 parking spots within a three-block radius of the center, most of which are connected by the Skyway. Early birds canbuy their parking passes in advance here.

Any other important information the user should know?

To get that sharp view, you can rent binoculars at many events. Find them at the Guest Services office outside of section 138.

Near the venue

What is the surrounding area like?

Target Center is set amongst the vibrant nightlife and restaurants of downtown Minneapolis.

What are the must do things in the city?

Minneapolis Sculpture Garden

Found beside the Walker Art Center, this sculpture garden stretches out over 11 green acres. Contemporary works include the much-loved Spoonbridge & Cherry by Claes Oldenburg. And if you're into blooms, take in the scents of exotic hothouse flowers in the Cowles Conservatory.

Craft Brewery Tour

Run by various companies, these guided tours give visitors a flavor of Minnesota's best craft breweries and taprooms. Many come with generous samples and descriptions of the process that brings out the area's distinctive tastes.

Mill City Museum

The floor industry may not immediately sound that thrilling. But combined with the rich history of the city and beautiful views across the Mississippi River and you've got yourself a great afternoon trip for a $12 entrance fee.

Where are the best places to eat near Target Center?

The Shout House

Not your average bar, The Shout House sees the audience request tunes then played by duelling pianos. The lively atmosphere comes with cocktails and a menu of southern comfort food, so swing by to get in the mood for a gig or game.

The Local

For four years running, this Irish pub has poured the largest volume of Jameson Irish whiskey in the world. That alone may be reason enough to take the ten-minute walk from the center. There's also a decent menu including a classic fish and chips plate, plus international sports are shown for that lively atmosphere.

Fogo de Chao

Although there's a salad bar, this Brazilian steakhouse might not be ones for vegetarians. Think fire-roasted beef seasoned with rock-salt, sliced thin at your table. The chefs pride themselves on the succulent meats and flavors from Southern Brazil.

Pizza Luce

Creative and award-winning pizzas draw the crowds to this local restaurant chain. The restaurant has a laidback atmosphere with booth seating and bare brick walls fit for a pre-game drink or three.

Overall experience was great. A lot of hotels in the area.

Pros: Great crowd control; easy in and easy out.
Cons: Row in front of us had one seat (row G; seat 1); the second seat (row G, seat 2) was across the walk way. Poor girls who bought two tickets were separated. What is up with that? One ended up sitting in front of the other on the floor so they could sit beside each other. I would have been extremely upset if those had been my two tickets.

The employees were outstanding. They suggested some restaurants close by which were great. I use a wheelchair and was taken to my seat by some nice young man who came at intermission to see if I needed my chair and he was also right there after the concert was over with my chair. I wish I had got his name.

The staff letting us in and taking our tickets were very nice, as were the concession people, and guides. My daughter and I were in section 106, second tier - we had a fantastic time at the Amercian Idol concert 7-9-12. Security after the concert were cool also.

Pros: We had a wonderful time:) ; comfortable.
Cons: $4.00 for a soda?!
