Great Location, Great staff, but...

Liked: Great location. Friendly staff.
Disliked: Shower pressure was not great. Front facing rooms suffer from very early morning street noise.

Helpful owner, perfect location, but...

Liked: The owner was very friendly, she helped me to carry my luggage up to the top. The location is perfect if you want to travel by train, haymarket is just across the road, only 3 minutes to go.
Disliked: The room was on the very top, no lift or something. The bathroom was outside, but that was ok for me. The owner offered to give me a room with ensuite bath, but that would be with no window! I mean, who wants to stay in such a room, would be like in jail. My room was very small, and everything dated but unfortunately not in a charming way, just old. When I layed on the bed I sank in, the matress was much too soft, awfull. It was loud from people outside and my neighbours, thin walls. The bathroom looked extremely old and put together. For one night ok, but I wouldnt stay here again

Cheap clean hotel - good...

Liked: Basic hotel, comfortable, clean and cheap. Staff friendly and helpful. Did the job of a cheap place to stay.
Disliked: Was a bit dated and rustic. Had to pay by cash as the card machine was out.

Good

Liked: It was decent, actually better than I expected it to be. Clean, comfy bed, towels provided, really good location. We were even pleasantly surprised to have a kettle with tea and coffee bits.
Disliked: Bath leaked a bit.

Great

Liked: Good beds, very cosy and warm. Finally a good shower! Good location, some good restaurants in the area. Not too far from shops and near the station. The person who let us in (Kenny) was extremely helpfull and showed us around. He even went upstairs with us. I feel like this doesn’t happen anymore. So thank you Kenny for being so kind :)

It was all we required...

Liked: No breakfast available. Maybe at the price we paid a breakfast should have been Included. We were only staying one night so we were able to get breakfast nearby. There was a kettle and coffee/tea facility but no biscuit. The staff member who greeted us on arrival was very accommodating and helpful.
Disliked: Plumbing maintenance needs more attention. Cistern was not working but we made adjustment to help flush. A new toilet seat/lid is required as the paint is peeling off old wooden seat. A tap handle kept falling off when turning on/off.being used
