The hotel was nice - my only complaint is that the beds were very firm and uncomfortable, and the pillows were very small too. Walking distance to LC Pavilion was short and easy.

Think that this hotel was quite nice - walking distance to venue (Lifestyle Communities Pavilion) and dining options. We will definitely stay here again next time we are staying in Columbus.

I was very disappointed in paying almost $200 for a one night stay here. The staff was very nice, but the layout of the hotel and the room were big disappointments. The lobby has stairs to reach the elevator, and when you have a large bag to carry, or are handicapped, it's very inconvenient. The pool is relatively small, yet the patio and bar are quite comfortable at night. I was very disappointed in trying to find a place to park initially. There is a curb that allows only 3 cars to park, and generally the valet service has it full. In regards to the valet service, I paid for my car to be put in the valet lot, after driving around the building twice to find a pay meter. They must have forgotten about my car because the next morning it was still in front of the meter. Considering the ups and downs of the hotel, and the significant price tag, I thought it was huge disappointment.

Liked: The central dowtown location was great. Valet staff and front desk staff were very friendly. The main common areas of the hotel are gorgeous.
Disliked: Our first room, located in the first floor, was adjacent to the pool. The entire first floor, but especially this room, reeked of chlorine and mildew. The window was frosted, but you could see people passing by in the pool, and small kids knocking on the glass. We asked to be moved to another room because my partner is sensitive yo strong smells, which we were eventually (staff said they would call us if housekeeping could get another room ready, we had to call them an hour later). Our second room was nicer, but had a horrible smell by one of the nightstands and large brown staining in the side of the mattress and boxspring. We stayed because my partner's dad is a high level rewards emember, and they've always had great experiences. This was the worst Marriot we've ever stayed at, by far.

Disliked: Everything. It was fifthly. There were crumbs and trash on the floor of our hotel room. It looked as if our room was not cleaned before we checked in. It is not handicap accessible. Staff were rude. Way too expensive for a dirty hotel with rude and when booking online, it states there is Continental breakfast. Ghee definitely was not. The Bistro on site at the hotel was not what they advertised. They had one cook and she was only making flatbreads and quesadillas. Absolutely a horrible experience.

Great choice to stay when...

Liked: Excellent room. Very quiet and dark, which made for great sleep after international travel. Great location relative to the convention centre.
