Room Flooded

Liked: The staff and room were great, unfortunately the fire alarms went off in the middle of the night and the sprinkler system flooded our room. My toddler was very freaked out by it all and still talking about it almost a week later. They did give us another room, however when contacted about some type of reimbursement they have not reached back out after multiple attempt to reach them.
Disliked: Our room flooding...scaring the crap out of my 4 year old.

Liked: Your staff is incredible, I checked in late and got to see 3 shift changes at the front desk, excellent service and the reason I try always to use Marriott

The staff was very nice

Liked: Conveniently located across the street from KSU. We were there from out of town for open house for upcoming freshman that will be enrolling for the 2024-2025 school year
Disliked: I booked the room via booking.com and when we checked in and got to the room, you could clearly tell that the room was not cleaned properly. The sofa bed had bodily fluid from a previous sexual encounter. There was women hair accessories still on the couch. Bottle caps on the floor. When we pulled out the sofa bed for our daughter, there were bugs on the frame of the bed underneath the mattress. They were booked so we couldn’t get another room so the maintenance crew came in and had to spray pesticide on the sofa bed and around the mattress. He also sprayed around the rest of the room to include the bathroom. My daughter did not want to sleep on the mattress so he double padded the bed and brought in brand new pillows and sheets. The microwave had hair all over it from the previous person. Clearly the maids do not take pride in doing their job. I think hotels should have grade ratings just like the restaurants. Hotels need to be reviewed by inspectors and not to be relied fully on customer ratings. The manager was made aware and the next morning upon checking out he discounted the room. The breakfast was cold also. For the price and the area I expected it to be a great experience. Ensure before your child sleeps on sofa beds that you check for bugs. Wish I had thought to take pictures to upload.
