Superb
Liked: Host Robert was great. Breakfast quiche and coffee was excellent.
Disliked: Rooms were a little tight with two beds...and the shower was really tight..but clean and no issues with hot water. Rustic and a good value overall...and Roberts restaurant suggestions were on point

Loved my stay at Inn...
Liked: I did like the style of this hotel, not your traditional/typical fancy hotel-resorts. Loved every detail in the room. The owners have put a lot into it and it feels welcoming and cozy. Inn on the Rio is very well located, just a mile out of downtown Taos, it’s quiet at night. You could walk to downtown if you want to and the drive is just 3 minutes. Taos ski Valley is just 30 minutes from the hotel. Breakfast are delicious and quiches are yummy and nutritious. Fresh food for a fresh start of your day, loved it. Pool is closed for the winter but hot tub was open, pool towels available, nice to relax after a skiing day. Robert was very welcoming and great to talk to. We arrived late at night after check in and it was very easy to coordinate with him details for our arrival. He did also gave us great recommendations for food around town. Miss kitty was also a highlight of our trip, such a friendly cat!!

Great breakfast and affordable place...
Liked: The breakfast was the best part of the stay - homemade and yummy! Home baked bread and egg casserole. It was also nice to be able to soak in the hot tub after a long hike. :) The hosts were welcoming.
Disliked: They have a cat on premises and the cat would run into our room when we opened the door. I had to crawl under the bed and get her out twice, which is a bummer because I am allergic :(. Also, it would have been nice to have a mini-fridge in the room at least. No coffee maker or microwave either. The office closes at 7pm so we weren't able to get ice or ask to borrow a wine bottle opener, etc.
