Our room was dirty and...

Liked: The front desk person tried to help (although she was prevented by her GM).
Disliked: When we checked in, our room hadn't been cleaned: the linens hadn't been changed, there was what looked like nail polish on some of the sheets, there was a sticky spill on the desk, and the towels hadn't been replaced. They didn't have another room we could stay in, they didn't offer to clean the room, and the GM refused to waive the cancellation fee when we had to find another hotel to get a clean room.
