A decent resort hotel but...

Liked: The hotel has some great facilities including its own private beach, an entertainment lounge, and a restaurant. The location of the hotel is also a short walk away from the coast side and is a short drive away from central San Diego. The staff were also very friendly and helpful in giving nearby recommendations.
Disliked: Overall, the king bed room we had was very dated and old. The room had a musty smell to it that would not go away despite airing out the room for half the day. This was the same for our friends who also stayed in a nearby room. Upon initial check-in we had found a dead moth and multiple mosquitos in the room. As well, the bathtub was not fully clean (hairs leftover and on the bathroom mat). The rooms definitely require some upgrades fitting of its great location.

A little piece of Paradise...

Liked: Everything! The resort felt like you were on a destination vacation. It's very family friendly with so much to do on site! My family enjoyed the private beach. The whole resort is filled with beautiful Bahama landscaping. They have stuff for all ages. The weather in may is perfect, and the resort isn't so packed. The staff were all so friendly and helpful. We stayed 3 nights and 4 days and wanted to stay longer!
Disliked: Having to leave! We almost extended our vacation stay.

Disliked: The restaurant was mediocre for the price.

A nice way to round...

Liked: Nice private area, good pool its a little bit of paradise.
Disliked: Rooms not sound proof, no vending machines were working so hard to get a drink when the gift shop was closed.
