Exceptional

Liked: Recently renovated and lots of new features - more outside seating including cosy pods at the front and a lovely garden at the back. Nice bar area and excellent food. New mattresses mean a comfy night and coffee machine in the room was a nice touch. Good location - 5 minutes to Winchelsea Beach, 10 minutes to Rye and 25 minutes to Hastings. Definitely would recommend.
Disliked: No - can't think of anything!!

Liked: Breakfast was outstanding particularly the sausages. Food was plentiful. There was a choice of fresh fruits, raspberries, strawberries melon , all of which were delicious. I had the vegetarian breakfast which was cooked to perfection and very tasty. Every member of staff we met were very helpful happy and smiley especially Daniel and Violet 😊. Lee the owner of the Lodge is an exceptionally kind generous welcoming man. We will be back in September and can’t wait . Thank you so much for making our stay a happy one . George + Tessa

Liked: Breakfast was very good. Location was just what we were hoping for.

Liked: The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. The room was clean, tidy, and comfortable—exactly what we were hoping for. A peaceful and pleasant place to stay, and we would definitely come again!
Disliked: The only downside was that the restaurant was closed on Sunday, and we weren’t informed at check-in. Google listed it as open until 10pm, so we ended up having to drive to the next village to find somewhere to eat

Liked: Breakfast and location good. Check in process easy.
Disliked: Wifi range was very weak and kept disconnecting. Room did not feel particularly clean, with cobwebs / dirty floor
