Basic

Liked: Food from the restaurant was delicious!
Disliked: The property differed from what we thought it would be based on the description on booking.com, I cannot fault the staff on dealing with this as we were then both offered a complementary breakfast for the morning. We decided to stay here for our 10 year anniversary but there’s nothing romantic about the rooms at all, just look like an average Premier inn. The bed in the suite was very large however it was also very firm and really uncomfortable, both me and my partner woke up quite achey. We paid for a terrace/garden view room with outdoor furniture as described on booking.com however there were just some silver metal chairs and a small metal table, not to mention there was no view at all as there was a giant white marquee less than 6ft from your balcony. Luckily there was no wedding event on but if there were it would have been an awful stay with people walking and standing basically on your terrace. The staff were okay, not particularly friendly but not rude either. All in all we definitely wouldn’t stay again.

Very disappointed we left a...

Liked: The suite was “nice” the bed was great very big & comfortable.Tea & coffee was provided albeit nota popular brand and only one pack of biscuit.
Disliked: The property is on its own up a very poorly surfaced road. The food was absolutely awful my husband had the mixed grill which was a combination of undercooked and overcooked offerings completely uneatable, I had steak & ale pie with mash & peas the pie had been over microwaved, good job I had gravy to soften it slightly once I managed to get into the pie the meat was very dry, told the restaurant staff that really couldn’t give a dam.The bar area was cold & empty with no atmosphere. The breakfast were just as awful.

Disappointing

Disliked: After requesting a quiet room at booking & paid upfront, we then received an email a few days before letting us know that they have a party on the night & there will be noise up to 12 midnight. This was not good as I did not sleep well. The bathroom was dirty with yellow stains around the toilet seat. No toilet tissue. The bed was not comfortable too & I did mention this in the morning to there lady called Victoria but I felt that just was the normal as she said thanks for letting them know.

Liked: The hotel was okay location, but the rooms were freezing even though they said the thermostat would click in. The radiators was cold in the room and the hotel food we had a burnt burger wasn’t very nice at all.
Disliked: Hotel is just so cold couldn’t keep warm had to put a few layers on

Liked: Very handy for M1 travel. Friendly staff.
Disliked: The mattress on our bed was very uncomfortable. The electric panel heaters, whilst efficient, were very noisy.
