Disliked: Our reservation was cancelled without us knowing. No other rooms were available that we needed. We had to find another hotel to stay in last minute. Very unsatisfied and did not get to stay.

Liked: Good location - downtown Houston but not so busy. Just perfect! New hotel, so you could still feel the freshness. Kind and helpful staff.
Disliked: We had the idea that they were still test running because for a new hotel, not everything was up to par. Housekeeping is not thorough. They need to step up and do a better job to maintain the hotel quality.

Liked: The location is absolutely perfect if you are going to an event at the Toyota Center or the baseball field. It is just steps away from a very good restaurant called China Garden. And walking distance through a smallish parking garage from the Toyota Center. The valet staff were very polite and helpful, the front desk staff got us into our room quickly, and the morning staff working the free breakfast area were efficient and kept things stocked, even 30 minutes before the end of breakfast. The rooms were exceptionally clean, and the bed was very comfortable.
Disliked: The cost of the valet is $58, which is not optional, as the hotel literally does not have open parking. I suppose it might be cheaper to park in the parking garage across the street. But the convenience of the valet made it an expense we decided to pay, even though it was a stretch. There are no coffee makers in the rooms, because they are so small. However, there is a coffee bar in the lobby.
