I realise we were a...

Liked: Our upgraded room, particularly the balcony.
Disliked: 1. We waited too long to be seated at breakfast. The MD seemed to be serving as well seating. The bench seating at the tables too low. The choice between the £22 menu and the minimalist alternative unhelpful and a bit mean. No service came anywhere near us for so long, we gave up and left. 2. Also I found it really off putting that the communication before our arrival, while saying you were looking forward to welcoming us, was both times about money that we might give or you might take. Is there no way you can make this information available when you book?

Worst stay of career of...

Liked: Located is bomb! And staff the security guy helping getting bag to front lobby was great- other then that- no no no
Disliked: Checked in with a family- host saw the family composed of little kids- then I booked a big king bed room and she came back and said I upgraded you to a higher floor- I was like ok- went to the room and looking at the map it was the smallest room on the floor if not whole hotel- 725

Great for the experience of...

Liked: The hotel design and decor is true to period, with some exceptional areas, like the lifts, library, and top floor restaurant. Room superbly decorated, premium King, and great amount of space, light etc.
Disliked: Faulty items in bedroom, like speaker, plug sockets; no bubble bath despite a massive free standing bath, very expensive mini bar, i do not expect when a hotel room costs that much more over a standard room.

Relax trip to London

Liked: The highlight goes to the location, followed by service at the hotel. Specially the security folks at the front door, always with a big smile and nice greeting.
Disliked: I understand London is expensive, not my first time there. Yet I was expecting more from the hotel room due to the rates, in reality I understand the only reason for the rate is the location. We could have stayed a bit more far from the King Cross station, and still be in a very nice area and considerably more cheap. I thought I had paid for breakfast within our rate, but in the end breakfast was not even included, so as a customer I was wondering: why this price ? Short answer: If you either value stay super close to the King Cross Station, or you are up to pay more and be part of the hotel's events, than you are good to go with this hotel, otherwise look around the area and you can find cheaper deals.
