Superb

Brilliant stay overall

Liked: Excellent breakfast
Disliked: Nothing at all everything was perfect

Great hotel but food and...

Liked: Great facilities, the spa and swimming pools were wonderful and one of our rooms was upgraded which was a nice touch. Some of the staff were very good and when we mentioned the purpose of our visit we got a small plate with ‘congratulations’ on it, which was a nice touch.
Disliked: You have to put a hold deposit for each room of £200 per room, the breakfast was expensive and little thinks like the coffee and tea for breakfast are extra and sometime you had to wait a long time to be served and a few occasions I went to the bar myself to get drinks after eating for quite a while but was still charged a service charge. Everything you have, drinks, breakfast etc has a service charge and this is not indicated when you check in. We parked the car in the car park which was good but was charged for every day and not just per 24 hour period, even though we didn’t arrive till late afternoon and went at lunchtime on the last day.

Romantic - special - fun...

Liked: I loved the vibe, aesthetic and design of the whole hotel, I felt like I was on a proper holiday and immersed in a whole new world
Disliked: Nothing, I loved it

Good

Liked: The pool and the outside space
Disliked: I don’t appreciate someone cleaning the pool for hours with a scourer while people are in it, during the peak hours.It’s also very dangerous for workers to be pulling out the solid plastic pool cover out while people are in it, during peak hours.Not sure why maintenance cannot be performed out of hours !?!!!?!??The hotel has functions - function guests are able hang out the front of the hotel until the early hours of the morning. The noise is very loud if your room is on the front.

Exceptional

Liked: Having an outdoor swimming pool.The pea and courgette soup was delicious.
Disliked: I’m 66 and would like the pools a bit warmer.I would also like a sauna near the outdoor pool.

Overall I think the hotel...

Liked: The property overall was visually appealing, the pool was nice, the rooms were also nice. Staff were always there to help, the food was also very good.
Disliked: Firstly the room we had had lots a noise from the main road, the secondary lift kept making noises throughout the night as the primary lift was out of service. I feel like the soundproofing should be a lot better for a hotel. We had a 1 year old with us which was impossible to get to sleep cause of the noise. I also feel £370 a night for this hotel is steep for what you’re getting, for that price I would expect something outstanding. There was also an issue with the parking, my car got blocked in and the hotel didn’t have the keys for the car blocking me in.
