We plan to return

Liked: Hotel with lots of charm and character
Disliked: Service in the dining room didn’t seem to flow, at breakfast time porridge was served after the full English but the staff apologised for the mix up.

It was a lovely experience...

Liked: The hotel was in a great location for us because it was near Monsal trail and Chatsworth House. The breakfast was lovely. They were very accommodating when we left a car behind after our hotel stay and we collected it later.
Disliked: I cannot think of anything.

Staff went out of their...

Liked: Lovely breakfast with lots of choice and beautifully cooked We stayed for evening dinner which was excellent. The chef is obviously very good and the food was delicious.
Disliked: All lovely

Liked: Excellent breakfast - nice room. Staff fantastic. Location excellent as only short distance from Bakewell and Chatsworth
Disliked: dinner was very pricey for a roast beef - it was tasty but even so!
