Great hotel and location for...

Liked: Very friendly staff, professional
Disliked: Bathroom is black tile. Very cool but made the lighting difficult from the make-up application side of things. Very small room not atypical for nyc. We had to book late so probably didn’t get the best price/value that we could have from booking.com

Fantastic location, fantastic staff

Liked: Fantastic location, attentive and friendly staff and a fabulous rooftop bar! The toiletries were top notch, and the staff made a killer coffee for us every morning.
Disliked: The rooms are very small- which was challenging. The corridors and lifts are poorly lit also. It would also be great if there was a diffuser attachment available for the hairdryer.

Location good, small rooms but...

Liked: We've stayed here before and really like the location and the service is always friendly. The lobby is a nice place to hang out with good coffee, wines and beer. Appreciated the need for swiping one's card to enter front door after 10:00 p.m. for safety.
Disliked: I remember that there was not a lot of light in the hotel, but on this trip it seemed extra dark. I walked into into the wall on the 5th floor because I don't have depth perception when it is dark. I disliked the $40 daily charge and having to use a $40 chip where we could not get any change back. On the last day we bought six pastries and gave it to the homeless on 8th Avenue. Housekeeping is excellent and very gracious.

Overall a pleasant stay but...

Liked: Breakfast tokens are a nice touch.
Disliked: Being charged $100 for keeping a half used bottlesof shampoo and conditioner when the listing describes toiletries as complimentary. The charge itself is one thing, but the amount is clearly excessive. The room is quite smallConsidering the cost overall.
