Suitable for our needs

Liked: Bit noisy, very good breakfast, comfy bed. Pub could do with an update. Sweep doorways and clean windows. Renew fake flowers at doorways
Disliked: Pub needs attention in areas

Comfy stay at The Manor...

Liked: The Manor House was really lovely. We stayed in room 3 and we were very comfortable with everything we needed. Great breakfast menu.
Disliked: It's an oldish building so there was some noise - creaking floorboards in the room above, pipe noises etc. There's not much they can do about that though and the character of the place made up for it imo.

Disliked: Far to small to relax in room ,bathroom could only just get in saloon doors no chance in shower , so not a comfortable start to the day , breakfast was good , no food served in afternoon so not to happy about that , but place next door was excellent staff , food. And the welcome .

Exceptional

Perfect for my overnight stay.

Liked: Quirky and full of character. Lovely girl on reception who carried my case to my room.
Disliked: The outside flight of stairs made me a bit nervous after some rain. The breakfast was okay - but I’d have liked some berries with my cereal. I didn’t ask for them but it would have been good if they’d been available. I didn’t ask ask for Greek yogurt and that was provided though.

Noisy and cramped in hot...

Liked: Easy to find, space in the car park
Disliked: It was really noisy. The rooms overlooked the rear of the building where there was a large outdoor bar which was very busy and very loud when we arrived we were told that the noise would start to reduce in about half an hour, at 11 o’clock. We were also told that drinks continued to be served until 12 (midnight) and we were therefore not surprised that actually the noise continued until well after 12 with shouting, cars revving laughing et cetera. The problem was exacerbated by the fact that the rooms were very hot so keeping the windows closed wasn’t an option. If we had been told the truth on arrival i.e. that it wasn’t going be possible to try to sleep until half midnight I think we would’ve been annoyed but probably accepted the situation. However we were told on arrival that the noise was going to stop imminently which wasn’t true.
