The Gainsborough Bath Spa - YTL Classic Hotel

The hotel was clean and the staff friendly and located near to the Bath Forum, which is why we chose it.

Disliked: We had a disabled bathroom which was strange as we had not requested one, but it was fine.The front desk attempted to hold back £15 from our £100 deposit as a discretionary “service charge”, despite us having paid for everything already and not having used any additional services. I thought this was unnecessary and cynical. They were not consistently charging this to guests who were checking out either, and seemed to rely on people either being too embarrassed to question this or not to notice at all. Very odd and not a good look frankly.

Liked: Every thing was special from the moment we arrived. We were warmly welcomed , they were aware we had booked a car parking space and the staff couldn't be more helpful throughout the whole of our stay
