Liked: Spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, excellent breakfast and very helpful owners.
Disliked: Nothing.

Great getaway location.

Liked: Great location on the outskirts of Matlock. Run by Sue and John who are excellent hosts. Breakfast very good and rooms comfortable. A pleasant lounge with stunning views. Car parking fine.The site is located on a very steep hill, which wasn't any problem to us, in fact it added to the entertainment. However it may impact on guests with mobility issues.It's a very quiet location which makes the stay very relaxing.
Disliked: No major issues. WFI a bit on the slow side maybe.

Wonderful place to stay and...

Liked: Gorgeous room, comfortable bed and lovely seating area. Plentiful breakfast with lots of choice and hosts were very chatty and knowledgable of the local area. Views were breathtaking
Disliked: Very steep hilly location…need to get a taxi back each day

Liked: Friendly hosts, impeccably clean facilities. Very Comfortable bed. Breakfast superb. Summertime stay with lovely views from Derwent Suite and patio. Guest lounge area with lots of books and brochures. Mini fridge in room is excellent. Great.
Disliked: Some noise breakthrough from room above. Have to run hot tap few minutes to heat up.

Loved our stay

Liked: Breakfast was amazing. The garden and outdoor seating with a view were beautiful. Sue and her husband are a pleasure and even made us a wonderful breakfast earlier than usual. We wanted to stay longer and hope to go back. The bathrobes were an extra measure of luxury. Loved it!
Disliked: It was a little warm and could use a fan or air-conditioning in the upper back room. We went in the summer so this probably isn't a probably most of the year.

Very comfortable and welcoming stay

Liked: Very hearty breakfast and flexible to requests.Beautiful and spacious suite.Very good quality bedding and towels
Disliked: Bedside lights hanging from ceiling were a little low as both my wife and I regularly hit our heads on the shades.Road approaching is quite challenging - steep uphills and very tight corners
