Nestled close to the shores of Rutland Water just 5 minutes' drive from Oakham and a 50-minute drive from Leicester. This former farmhouse is surrounded by the scenic beauty of the Rutland countryside and offers free WiFi free parking. Great place to stay and...

Liked: Great location; fantastically friendly staff; comfortable, welcoming room; loved the bar area, the orangery, and the courtyard; the outdoor spa was excellent as were the treatments (glad of the warm dryrobes even in May but stepping out of the hot tub or the sauna into the slight chill of the air was part of the charm).
Disliked: The food is good, but, for the price, it should be better

Liked: Beautiful location, easy to find by car.
Disliked: More seating readily available at breakfast during peak time ie. 9-9.30am

Clean and friendly but 4-star

Liked: Clean and friendly.
Disliked: Poor sound insulation from room above ceiling. Breakfast not great. Had to pay for coffee.
