Horrible experience

Disliked: The place was filthy, ratings on booking are wrong if you look at Google this place is not rated fabulous or near 7 stars would of never booked here if I realized that. Kept up all night by people living upstairs was told when I called management I should go talk to them. Never would recommend this place to anyone. Ended up leaving and didn’t even visit the beach which was the purpose for staying in Santa Cruz because we didn’t get any sleep.

Disliked: There is a homeless encampment on the other side of fence. Noise at 2:30am .. the towel bar in the bathroom broken , sheets dirty, something on wall , shower wets the whole bathroom floor

A super-cool american-style hotel with...

Liked: This was one of the best hotel on my road trip from SF to LA. This hotel is aligned with the surf spirit of the Santa Cruz city. Room was clean and enormous big. I was very very satisfied.
Disliked: The swimming pool was accidentaly out of order in time of our stay, but this is acceptable if there was necessary to change the water in it.

Traumatic

Liked: Good location
Disliked: I asked for a quiet room when I checked in & I was put in the middle of 2 rooms that were full of people loudly partying. I called the front desk man 5 times to ask him to come up & talk to the people about the noises or move them & it did not get better , & he said he didn’t believe me . Then a woman was screaming & at 4:30 am a police man knocked on my door to ask me questions about what I had heard . I didn’t sleep at all . When I asked for a refund for the hotel stay . They only offered me half off that first night & I that was not refunded before I checked out . I hope that it is , but I will never recommend this place or your site because of how this has all been handled. I’m very upset . It caused me & my family major stress, worry & sleeplessness that affected our visit
