Spark by Hilton Yucca Valley Joshua Tree

Breakfast is not as advertised,...

Liked: The hotel is in a fantastic location. it is about 12 minute drive to the Joshua Tree visitor center. The room was very big, with AC that you could customize, and a huge bathroom with a bathtub. Breakfast was sufficient, I had a bagel with butter and jelly, my friends had a bagel with cream cheese.
Disliked: check in was very slow. I booked two separate rooms and they don't provide the option to split the payment so I had to pay for both the rooms from my card. THey also mislead you with what is for breakfast here. Booking.com says there is a full, hot breakfast served, but that's incorrect, it is just the "bagel bar"

Liked: Please do not stay. The hotel is renovating and was not ready to open. They started doing construction at 7am, the doors did not lock, stated they had a kitchen but was a non working kitchenette, staff brought their microwave so we could feed our kids, no coffee/tea maker, no coffee for breakfast, pool is being under construction and not safe. As a Hilton I have expected better. Manager could care less about customer service. Overall experience was pretty bad and wish I had known about these issues, I would avoided this place.

Liked: Very comfortable bed and soft sheets.
Disliked: Our room was right next to the road. We checked in early, and they said they couldn't move us because they were booked. The day before we arrived, the hotel changed from Best Western to Spark by Hilton. We were not notified and never received a confirmation email.

Liked: It was clean and the the room was large. Staff was friendly.
Disliked: When we booked it stated hot breakfast was included but when we checked in, we were told there is no hot breakfast just a bagel bar. We may not have chosen this hotel to stay here if we knew the breakfast situation.

That was 6th time staying...

Liked: The girl at the at front desk was very nice and very apologetic about not having the same services as before. The hotel appeared to be very clean.
Disliked: No coffee in the rooms. And no breakfast availableAnymore other than bagels. The bed was very uncomfortable, I think it had seen better days.
