Disliked: Given the option to upgrade our room at check in for a ?small charge? this turned out to be £170 or more than half the original price paid. We were advised the original room we booked in was too noisy?? £170 is not a ?small charge?

Liked: The breakfast was a la carte only due to restrictions. However very enjoyable & good quality.
Disliked: Booking.com misled us on the size of our room implying 4x adults plus 1 child could fit into room. This was NOT the case. The hotel reception helped us out ?Dan? who was excellent

experience was spoilt
Disliked: we were offered an upgrade for £100 per night , to include most drink and snack options in the bar , but on check out this changed and we had to pay for some options , including ones we were told were included , very disapointed.

Liked: The architecture of this building is amazing, it is also close to Euston Station, as well as King Cross & of course, St Pancras.
Disliked: Unfortunately the inside of this hotel & the way that it is being run really let it down. I understand we are living in a post Covid world where everyone is trying to adapt, however, we had no end of problems from no hot water for a shower, blocked toilet (both of which made us miss our pre-dinner drinks), the tv didn?t work. The hotel & rooms seem very unorganised. The rooms has too much furniture and I couldn?t even get to a mirror and/or plug socket to do my hair and make up. The breakfast was described as buffet, but you had to line up for waiters to serve it for you & they simply couldn?t keep up, even the manager appeared to be buttering toast. Simply making it table service would make much more sense. Pre made eggs benedict where the sauce has dried on top whilst kept warm just doesn?t have the same appeal.
