Lovely time with family, great...
Liked: Central location. Good old building. A bit tired and in need of TLC. Some breakfast items on the menu were not available.

Great location for a friends...
Liked: Location
Disliked: Understaffed, and decor in reception bar area doesn’t just looks wrong - and bar area is totally unwelcoming.

Very good
Liked: I recently stayed at a hotel in Norwich and had a fantastic experience. The staff were incredibly friendly, making me feel welcomed from the moment I arrived. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was top-notch. The room was clean and comfortable, providing a relaxing retreat after a long day of exploring the city. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Norwich for its exceptional hospitality and cozy ambiance.

Tired and dreary hotel needs...
Liked: The exterior and original features and the location
Disliked: Our room was not very executive with a balcony door that would not close and lock properly. Equally our room overlooked a back street that was noisy with young hanging around. The pillows were very hard and uncomfortable to the detriment of the comfy bed. The bathroom had black mould in the shower and just looked very tired and dated as did our bedroom which had poor decor and holes in the wall where pictures/mirror had previously been hung. Other the location there is not a lot to recommend about the hotel.

St Giles House Hotel is...
Liked: Great staff on reception throughout our stay. We were upgraded to a wonderful suite of rooms for our wedding anniversary, and given a card and balloons! Breakfast on the three mornings of our stay were excellent, and the location is wonderful, only a few minutes walk from the cities centre. My wife also enjoyed a full body massage at the Spa that she, as a trained therapist, said was delightful. With a good sized car park costing £10 per night, this is a wonderful place to stay when visiting the beautiful ancient city of Norwich. Highly recommended.
Disliked: The extractor fan in the ensuite didn't work. The sink plug also didn't retain water as the seal is worn. Everything else was great.

Very good
Liked: The location it's amazing. Everything is super close and a few minutes walking. The rooms are a good size and the building has a nice charm. The staff is great, and always there to help you out.
Disliked: It could be better up-kept, I think it's a little outdated and some of the things look old or ran-down. So this could definitely improve.
