We felt like a nuisance,...

Liked: Location was good
Disliked: Our room had no air con working on one of the hottest days of the year so far. Turns out the hotel was aware of this and still put us in the room and waited for us to request moving rooms due to the heat. This was a problem along the whole 1st floor. When requested moving the staff were rude and offered a downgraded room that was smaller all round. The shower in both rooms we used throughout the weekend both showers had their own separate broken issues.

Liked: Great location
Disliked: Walking into the room on arrival the smell of raw sewage hit us. On opening the bathroom door, it was like a sauna and the smell was overwhelming. There was clearly a plumbing issue with the soil and soak pipes as you could hear gurgling when other rooms were using their bathrooms. The furniture in the room was battered and tired. There was only one cup and biscuit at the tea station and the coffee machine didn’t work. The bed was ok but quite soft and felt a little like a camp bed. Good shower but the seals were all very mouldy and needing attention. The toilet roll holder was broken. The curtains in the room weren’t wide enough to cover the windows so it was light at 4am. There was a lot of noise in the street outside, it felt like a refrigerated van was parked outside running all night. When we left the receptionist didn’t ask if we had a good stay, it was as if she knew what we mights say. It would be impossible for the staff not to realise there was a dire issue with the hotels plumbing. I would suggest it is also a health & safety matter.

Liked: Location, very central and close to Hyde park and Oxford Street
Disliked: Room was old and had broken and damaged furniture. It wasn’t particularly clean, dust everywhere, un hoovered floors, mould around shower and water stains on the bathroom doors. Milk sachets were off and curdled the coffee.

Liked: Good location, nice layout of room etc
Disliked: Very loud, we heard the lift going up and down all night, the breakfast start to be served as well as people coming and going through the hotel. Didn’t get a good sleep at all

Great place to stay if...

Liked: Location is excellent
Disliked: First room didn’t have working air-conditioning, so had to move, but this was resolved quickly. Front of house was business-like, not particularly friendly or hospitable.
