Elegant, comfortable, friendly, and convenient.

Liked: I love this hotel! Check in was easy and helpful. Room was comfortable and cozy. Breakfast was great, and the K Bar is an exceptional venue.

A big disappointment

Liked: The staff were pleasant and the bed was comfortable
Disliked: The bathroom was incredibly small and the lighting was diabolical. The shower was so small it was hard to turn around in it (and I'm a small person) and the shower head badly aligned so that water sprayed all over the shower rather than just in the designated area. There were no drawers in which to put my clothes that didn't need to be hung in the wardrobe, which meant that I had to leave my suitcase out for the whole duration of my stay, making the "cozy" room extremely small. The housekeeping staff started early, which is fair enough, but despite the fact that I had the do not disturb sign on the door, they talked incessantly in the corridor outside my room and even had their mobile phones going off. Very unhelpful when trying to get over jet lag.

Pleasant

Great for romantic weekends but...

Liked: Beautiful building, nice restaurant.
Disliked: Floorboards creak and I had a pacer above me who kept me awake late into the night.

Liked: We had a wonderful stay! The location is great, close to a lot of the attractions and walking distance to very nice restaurants, shops, etc. The staff is wonderful, Harvey was very attentive and kind. The rooms are lovely and comfortable and we had a fantastic afternoon tea. We highly recommend staying at The Kensington
