Last time I went to Showboat it was a happening place on the boardwalk. And now with no gambling and restaurants really open it's gone down hill. It's very dated and is need of some TLC. Our tub drain barely worked and we had no extra pillows. It kinda smelled. It was fine but I know it can be better and I hope they do bring back the life to the Showboat.

Liked: It was convenient to Hard Rock Live and price was not bad.
Disliked: Very dated and stains on bedding and chairs.

The room was not as elaborate as the online pictures made it seem. Clean and met my needs but not any different than a Best Western or Hilton.

I was there Friday and Saturday. Came in for the Carnival of Madness tour (at House of Blues). The halls of the hotel smelled extremely clean and the air was crisp and cool. Our room was exceptionally clean and was obviously maintained very well. Some of the doors stuck, but I'm willing to guess the extreme humidity was the cause. The casino was decent. It wasn't very packed so I had my pick of machines.

Liked: Friendly, helpful staff; clean room; convenient location.

Disliked: Was told suite was renovated which it wasn’t. Half arcade machines didn’t work. All restaurants in hotel were closed. Water park was dirty disgusting and water was frigid. Hotel rooms smelled, were dirty, broken counters, furniture in horrible condition. Smelled like marijuana throughout hotel, rugs look like they never vacuumed, on site valet rude. Never would recommend and absolutely not worth 700+ an evening.

Was semi relaxing and plenty...

Liked: Location, clean and comfortable.
Disliked: There were people running through the hallways at all hours, yelling , slamming doors and disturbing sleep. At checkout the time spent waiting for elevator was 45 minutes securing a baggage rack was another 45 minutes. I counted at least 20 times the elevator stopped and had no room, before we could leave the floor to get to the main lobby.

Liked: Customer service the employees at the front desk were very nice.
Disliked: This hotel it’s very dirty. The carpet throughout the whole building is disgusting. Our beds were old and uncomfortable the furniture. Was beat up? And you walk in the hallway and the housekeepers had dirty towels on the floor not in a bag I would never stay at this hotel again change it from hotel to a motel. It should not have hotel on it. Disgusting.
