Liked: location in a fairly residential area set above the town (about 15 mins walking distance) was perfect for us. private car parking off road. beautiful house & our bedroom was delightful - multiple windows, gorgeously decorated, fresh carpet, warm radiator, HUGE comfy bed, classic bathroom, quality towels, house slippers, delicious freshly cooked breakfast, wonderful welcome from host Ziz, very attractive planted garden... we LOVED our stay & very much appreciated the lovely bedroom. Would happily return.
Disliked: being picky - perhaps decaf tea/coffee option in the bedroom but there were several teas to choose from & even a coffee bag.

Lovely relaxing stay!

Liked: Had a lovely couple of days at Sheriff Lodge. Ziz couldn't have done more to help, both before and during the stay, with really helpful recommendations about where to eat/go generally. Room was lovely and spacious with a big, comfy bed. Breakfast was also delicious, thanks!Location is great for walking into Matlock, and it's easy to get to by car (less than w10 minute walk from the train station if coming that way).

Liked: Fabulous room, well appointed and very comfortable. Lovely personable service. Breakfast was fantastic and catered for our dietary needs (vegan).Great location with easy walk to the town center and a great base for hiking.
