Affordable Comfort Near London's Best Music Venues

Modern and budget-friendly, the Royal National Hotel puts you right in the heart of central London. Just a 9-minute walk from Euston Station and close to major tube lines, this large 3-star hotel offers a convenient base for concert nights out. With clean, comfortable rooms, on-site dining, and a friendly 24-hour front desk, it’s a practical pick for music fans looking to stay near the action without breaking the bank.

Why Concert-goers love it

You’ll appreciate how easy it is to reach key music venues from here—whether walking, hopping on the tube, or grabbing a late-night cab. The hotel’s central location means you’re close to hotspots like the British Museum and King’s Cross, but it’s still quiet enough for a peaceful post-gig recovery. The 24-hour front desk and flexible check-in from 14:00 let you settle in around your concert plans, and fast WiFi makes it easy to coordinate with friends or stream your favorite artist after the show.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends looking for a budget-friendly base
  • Solo travelers chasing a bucket-list gig
  • Couples making a weekend of it in the city
  • Fans needing a quieter post-concert space to unwind
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who want central access without luxury prices

Food and Drink Options

The Royal National has an on-site restaurant offering British and Italian cuisine, with vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options available. While room service isn’t 24/7, you’re in a neighborhood packed with late-night eateries and takeout spots. Breakfast is available after a long night out, and you can head to the hotel’s bar for a nightcap without straying far from your room.

Nightlife Options

Though there’s no live music on-site, the hotel’s location puts you within easy reach of London’s top nightlife districts. From pubs around Bloomsbury to clubs in Soho and Camden, you’ll have no trouble finding the right vibe after the show. The hotel bar is a low-key option if you’d rather keep things relaxed.

What People Say

Guests love the prime location, especially how close it is to stations like Euston and King's Cross. Reviews often mention the hotel’s great value for money, helpful staff, and clean rooms. Travelers also appreciate the quick access to restaurants, cafes, and transport.

Areas for Improvement

Rooms are fairly basic and could use some modern updates, and the hotel’s size means it can feel busy at times. Some guests mention that soundproofing isn’t perfect, so light sleepers may want to pack earplugs. Still, the location and price tend to outweigh these minor issues for most.

The Bottom Line

For concert-goers wanting a central, affordable, and reliable stay in London with easy access to venues and late-night options, the Royal National Hotel hits all the right notes.

Good location but lots of...

Liked: - The beds were comfortable and we managed to sleep well.- The shower was really nice.- The hotel is pretty central.
Disliked: - Breakfast was over priced, over crowded (even though we went at a time indicated by the hotel as less busy) and tasted awful. - The room was small and even with the small fan provided it would get stuffy and hot.- The cleaning of the room was just not thorough and even though they have notes about saving water they would change the towels every time. One time they did not make one of the beds.(Not a big thing to be honest) Also, the bins were not always fully emptied, we would find some thing on the floor or left behind.- Reception would often be very crowded and busy with no place to seat.- The lifts are too small and too slow. Luckily we were on the first floor so we had the option to take the stairs which saved us a lot of time.

Not amazing

Liked: The room was clean and staff were friendly and helpful where they could be. Close to tube and amenities.
Disliked: Small room, stuffy, smell of sewerage from the bathroom, no Aircon and not even a fan was provided in the heatwave as back up so had to go out and purchase two since not even opening a window helped. If we had not have done this I fear I would have ended up in hospital as we literally could not breathe with the air so thick and humid. Huge queues on arrival and not even anywhere to sit. I have arthritis, which isn't obvious since I am not older but really hurt having to stand and wait when we arrived.
