Popular local attractions such as the Historic Docyard HMS Warrior and the Mary Rose are 1.5 miles from the property whilst the Royal Navy is 2.6 miles away. Best location

Liked: This was an amazing stay! Booked as a treat for my boyfriends birthday - It is a stone throw from the beach and the bars! Beautiful clean room and the staff could not be more helpful! Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to stay in Portsmouth
Disliked: The only issue we had is we went during the heatwave, and as we ordered a basic double our room was very warm and the windows didn?t open! However, the staff had clearly prepared for this and their was two fans in the room when we arrived.

Amazing hotel stylish comfortable perfect...

Liked: Room stunning bed comfortable
Disliked: Cooked breakfast very pre cooked and dry bacon ,hard sausage ,scrambled egg dry, which was a shame . Ran out of smoked salmon for breakfast service , not good . Toilet paper v poor quality. Need more toiletries as only one small bottle of shower gel for a couple . These are not major things but for the price breakfast could be fresher , cooked to order felt like it was on a hot plate for too long . I loved my stay though. This is just advice for improvement I will definitely return and would recommend the hotel

Perfect! We will be back!...

Liked: Have stayed before now even better after refurb! Perfect location. Totally blown away by the staff. Made my little girl feel very special in dukes bar making her a mocktail. Having been HR Manager for Champneys Tring, I know how hard to find good staff! 100%!! Well done to you all!
Disliked: Very small point, but watching older people dragging cases up and down stairs! Maybe that could be looked at. A bell maybe if they need help? Other than that, no complaints!

Very good

Liked: Staff were excellent. Nice room. Very clean. Great location.
Disliked: A minor point, but reception on TV sometimes cut out, as did WIFI.

Location fantastic, bed comfortable staff...

Liked: Location was great , breakfast could of been more buffet style , fruit could have been cold not room temperature for the fruit anyway, staff could be more attentive at the tables as we had no one ask if everything was fine , we had to ask for the little things like xtra milk and more orange juice.
Disliked: No air con in the room but the 2 fans made up for that a little bit .

My room was more like...

Liked: The view and the location was excellent
Disliked: The receptionist who served me was not very helpful. I asked her to book a taxi at arrival for later, so she either forgot or didn?t try hard made the excuse she couldn?t get through to them. I had to get the taxi myself and it only took 2 minutes.

Never again.

Liked: Nice hotel in a nice place.
Disliked: Staff were incompetent, pleasant but incompetent. Supposed to stay 5 nights, after waiting over 35 mins first day for breakfast and second day still no breakfast after over 40 minutes wait (it never came!) we checked out, dinner service wasn't much better.

No hot water, small superior...

Liked: Great location for the hovercraft , parking easy and the hotel foyer is impressive.
Disliked: No hot water throughout the stay, mouldy patch in shower, for a superior double the room was extremely small and not the larger suites that were shown in the advertisement photographs . When this was raised the manager said ' if you think that's not a superior double you should see the state of the un decorated standard rooms' . 25 per cent refund agreed after an aggressive phone call with the manager who needs to work on how she deals with customers. oh yes and even though I left my email address and phone number with reception when we left for a manager to contact us we heard nothing from them and had to make the first move - they later said the details hadn't been past on and may have been shredded so who knows where all my details have ended up ! Let's see if we ever get the refund!
